Japan, officially known as Nippon or Nihon, is an island country in East Asia. It is located in the Pacific Ocean, to the east of the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea, North Korea, South Korea, Russia, and China.
Geography
Japan consists of four main islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, along with over 6,800 smaller islands. The country stretches over 3,000 kilometers from north to south. - Post-War Period: After World War II, Japan experienced an economic miracle and became one of the world's leading economies.
